I move around a lot. I started studying ACCA in Hungary, finished my studies in the Netherlands and then built my career in Canada.
Having a globally recognised qualification meant I could take it with me. When I moved countries, I didn’t have to start all over again. The credibility I’d built through ACCA helped me move from public accounting into industry and continue developing my career abroad.
And moving countries introduced me to a whole new side of ACCA. As an immigrant, I attended networking events that helped me meet people, build connections and adapt to new cultures and new places.
Those connections have created opportunities too. As an ACCA ambassador, I’m often asked to speak at events, which has helped me grow my network further and become involved in advisory committees.
For me, that combination of global recognition and international connections has made a real difference. Wherever my career has taken me, ACCA has moved with me.
