I got involved in the local network to learn more about what ACCA had to offer outside of the exams and qualification. I wanted to be part of the community and to bring my ideas to the table about future developments. Being on the local panel has also encouraged me to get more involved and grow my support network around me. I enjoy giving my time and being an ambassador for ACCA. Especially when you see the changes you were part of take shape.

I work in the management consulting sector. I got involved with the network panel in 2019 because I was inspired by other panel members I met at ACCA events, in particular 2018 International Women's Day and BLN Northampton Saints events. I am a Tax partner of accountancy firm, Cartwrights, which provides accountancy and tax services to individuals and businesses. In my previous roles, I was actively involved in practice development and represented firms on various platforms such as Chamber of Commerce and other networking events.

I have formerly lectured on Taxation at ACCA and CAT level and travelled to Pakistan to promote accountancy courses. This involved open seminars and presentations to local business schools and potential students, as well as counselling students regarding accounting and management courses. Being part of the ACCA network will help me develop a range of skills you would not necessarily learn in your day job and I am committed to promote the highest possible academic and professional standards for ACCA.
