I began my career over 20 years ago with ACCA as a Certified Accounting Technician and am now a fully qualified Chartered Accountant. The accountancy body has been my inspiration in progressing this far in my career which is why I embrace the opportunity to give back as a Network Panel Member. My experience ranges from bookkeeping to producing and filing a full set of statutory accounts in various corporate industries. I also have internal audit, tax and stocktaking experiences. Being a member of the panel allows me to connect with, learn from and inspire other forward thinking ACCA members.

I work as a management accountant for Chanel, my role deals with various high level stakeholders, providing financial analysis, P&Ls, scenario planning and ownership of the forecasting/budgeting process. Having been a student of ACCA for 2 years, achieving a lifelong ambition, I wanted to give something back to a fantastic organisation.

I hope my time on the panel will lead me to meet like-minded people, engage with member/non-members/other parties alike, and highlight the benefits of becoming a part of the ACCA family.

I have been a member of the ACCA since 2005 and completed MBA from the University of Hull soon afterwards. I initially worked in the private sector for ten years and now my current role is within the NHS as a financial controller and business strategist. 

I currently work in practice, representing a full circle for me having qualified in practice then worked in financial technology, business services and manufacturing sectors. ACCA represents a path to success to me and many of my country men and women who see education and hard work as the only hope out of a less privileged life. 

It represents an ability to prove oneself without barriers to entry such as a training contracts or A “levels”.  The panel is an opportunity to shape the future of ACCA and to give back for what success I have achieved in the past.
