    Alice Yip

    Elected to Council: 2017

    Alice is an audit partner at KPMG in Hong Kong. Dedicated to serving the consumer and industrial sectors, Alice has extensive experience in being the lead partner for initial public offerings and cross-border capital market transactions.

    Alice has been a member of ACCA since 2000, and served as the chairman of ACCA Hong Kong for 2016/17. She has also participated in the Professional Development Sub-Committee of ACCA Hong Kong and contributed to the ACCA task force on various consultations on financial reporting, corporate governance and regulatory matters.

    Alice is also a member of the Hong Kong Institute of Directors and the Hong Kong Retail Management Association.

    Amos Ng

    Elected to Council: 2019

    Amos joined ACCA in 2005 and has served on the International Assembly (2012-2016) and in several roles on ACCA’s Singapore Network Panel.

    He is CFO at Straco Corporation Limited and lives in Singapore.

    His professional specialisms are in management and merger and acquisition.

    He enjoys mountain climbing, running and golf.

  • Arthur Lee

    Arthur Lee

    Elected to Council: 2016

    Arthur is the assistant president, company secretary and general manager of investor relations for CGN New Energy Holdings Co Ltd. He has been with the company for more than nine years, holding various other positions including controller and director of strategy.

    Arthur is a member of the ACCA Hong Kong Committee, and served as its chairman in 2015-16. He also involves in the Hong Kong Chinese Enterprises Association, where he serves as the executive vice-chair of the Youth Committee. He is also the district treasurer for Rotary International District 3450 in 2016-17.

    He has a degree with major in Information Engineering from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, as well as an MBA from the University of Warwick and a Master of Corporate Governance degree (with distinction) from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University.

    Pakistan

    Ayla Majid

    Elected to Council: 2014

    Ayla is CEO of CAMCO (Pvt) Limited, a capital markets and advisory company. She also heads the Business Advisory portfolio at Khalid Majid Rehman Chartered Accountants. Prior to these roles, Ayla was an investment advisor for commercial/industrial projects for one of Pakistan’s largest trusts, Fauji Foundation.

    Presently, she is an elected director on the board of ISE Real Estate Management Company Limited. Ayla is also a member of Board of Governors of the Helpcare Society, running schools to provide privileged education to under privileged children.

    In addition to ACCA qualification, Ayla holds MBA degree from Lahore University of Management Sciences and LLB (Hons) from the University of London. Ayla is a recent graduate of Harvard Kennedy School completing the Global Leadership and Public Policy for 21st Century module.

    In 2015, the World Economic Forum honoured Ayla as a Young Global Leader.

    Ben Catlin

    Elected to Council: 2018

    Ben is a deputy director of finance within the NHS, where he delivers the commissioning of healthcare across five London boroughs – supporting more than one and a half million people.

    Ben has been actively involved with ACCA since he first enrolled to study in 2008. He has authored several articles for Accounting and Business magazine, spoken at ACCA member seminars, and is a member of both the central London and healthcare ACCA member network panels. He is an alumni member of the ACCA Leaders of Tomorrow programme.

    In 2016, Ben was named by Accountancy Age/Financial Director magazine as being in the ‘Top 35 Accountants in the UK under the age of 35.’

    Brendan Sheehan

    Brendan is the managing director of White Squires, a company that specialises in Back Office Transformations. He has worked with business leaders across the public, private and government sectors in Ireland and Australia for nearly 25 years.

    His clients in Australia include Colliers International, Jones Lang LaSalle, Brisbane Airport and Queensland Government. Before moving to Australia in 2005, Brendan's clients in Ireland included Avensis Pharmaceuticals, TNT, the Office of Public Works and the National Museum.

    From 2011-14, Brendan was a member of our Australia and New Zealand members' network, which he chaired from 2012-14. He was also part of our International Assembly.

    Brigitte Nangoyi Muyenga

    Elected to Council: 2019

    Brigitte works as finance commissioner at the Zambia Revenue Authority.

    She joined ACCA in 2001 and became a Fellow in 2006.

    Brigitte holds an MBA from Herriot-Watt University (Edinburgh Business School) and has served on many ACCA committees since 2002.

    Her interests include reading, studying, sport and attending church.

    Carol-Ann Boothe

    Elected to Council: 2019

    Carol-Ann Boothe is a director in the Risk Management – Independence Group, with over 25 years’ experience in financial-related audits, attestation services and advisory services to federal government, financial services and commercial clients.

    Carol-Ann assists public entities on initial public offerings and approving new services in accordance with international and USA legislation. Previously, Carol-Ann worked in KPMG’s audit and advisory practices in Jamaica, UK, Romania, Croatia, India and USA with clients in various industries.

    Carol-Ann chaired ACCA USA Members Network for 2017–19; member of International Assembly 2015-18; vice chair of the ACCA USA Members Network 2015–17, ACCA Washington DC Chapter head from 2013.  Carol-Ann served as treasurer and president of the ACCA Women’s Society South East Division in London from 1997-2000.

  • Cristina Gutu

    Cristina Gutu

    Elected to Council: 2018

    Cristina is the head of the KPMG Training Academy in Romania, and has been a professional ACCA trainer for more than 10 years and in multiple countries.

    Prior to this, Cristina gained valuable practical international experience in auditing and consultancy, both in a large firm and also in a smaller accountancy practice.

    Cristina was a member of ACCA’s International Assembly between 2010 and 2016, serving three consecutive terms, and is also an active supporter of ACCA in Romania. She is a member of the ACCA Global Forum for Corporate Reporting.

  • Datuk Zaiton Mohd Hassan

    Malaysia

    Datuk Zaiton Mohd Hassan

    Elected to Council: 2016

    Datuk Zaiton Mohd Hassan is the chief executive officer of the Malaysia Professional Accountancy Centre (MyPAC). Prior to this, she was the managing director of Capital Intelligence Advisors SDN BHD, the president and executive director of the Malaysian Rating Corporation BHD, and the general manager of Maybank BHD.

    She has been involved with ACCA for several years, previously serving as the president of the ACCA Malaysia Advisory Committee, and in this role attending the International Assembly in 2012 and 2014.

    Datuk Zaiton Mohd Hassan is the vice president of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA), and a member of the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC) Professional Accountants in Business (PAIB) Committee.

    Dean currently runs the finance operations of Starwood Hotels and Resorts in China as its regional CFO. Before this, Dean held various positions with Yum Brands - owners of KFC, Pizza Hut and Taco Bell - in China and US, including China controller, brand reporting manager and planning director.

    Prior to joining Council, Dean was an International Assembly member from 2009-11 and served as chairman of the ACCA Shanghai Steering Committee in 2011-12. In addition to his ACCA membership, Dean is a CICPA member, holds an MBA and a Bachelor and Master degree in Philosophy from Fudan University. His areas of technical interest are finance and general management.

    Dinusha Weerawardane

    Dr. Dinusha is a Senior Lecturer in Accounting and Finance at the University of West London, UK. Originally from Sri Lanka, she has extensive experience in the higher education industry and is committed to building the ACCA brand globally.

    In addition to being an ACCA member, Dr. Dinusha is a Chartered Manager (UK), and holds a PhD in Consumer Behaviour from the Cyprus Institute of Marketing, an MSc. in International Business Management from the University of West London, an LLB (Hons) specializing in Business Law from Staffordshire University, UK and a BSc. (Hons) in Applied Accounting from Oxford Brookes University, UK. She is also an Oxford Brookes University Registered Mentor for the BSc. Applied Accounting programme, and an ACCA CB-Exam Writer and External Technical Reviewer.

    Gillian McCreadie

    Gillian has worked in practice since graduating in 2008 and is now business services manager at Robb Ferguson Chartered Accountants.

    She has served as ACCA Scotland committee chairman since 2017 and also represents Scotland on ACCA’s International Assembly.

    Her professional interests include accounting and tax compliance for SMEs across sectors including manufacturing, retail, engineering, dentistry and charities.

    Gillian enjoys reading, keeping fit, volunteering with a veterans’ charity and watching Rangers FC, where she is a season ticket holder.

  • Hidy Chan

    Hidy Chan

    Elected to Council: 2017

    Hidy has over 20 years’ experience in international accounting firms, multinational corporations and listed companies.

    She is a founding partner of Lincoln Edward CPA and chairman of Hong Kong Belt & Road Limited. She is also an independent non-executive director of China Brilliant Global Limited.

    Hidy graduated from the University of Hong Kong with a bachelor degree in accounting. She also holds a masters degree in business administration from the University of Manchester.

    Jenny is the COO at Richemont China, responsible for overall operational leadership and support to enable and empower Maison's China strategy and operations.

    Prior to Richemont, Jenny has over 24 years’ experience in Management consultancy, FMCG, sports and retail sector, working in multinational companies and private equity firms including Nike and TPG Capital. Jenny’s expertise includes: General management, sales and retail, finance, strategic planning and supply chain management, company transformation.

    She advises clients on strategy as well as operational effectiveness and efficiency. Jenny’s career has spanned China, USA, Hong Kong, Singapore and Taiwan.

    Jenny has an Executive MBA from Kellogg-HKUST. She has also both a master degree and a bachelor degree in Philosophy from Fudan University.

    Jenny obtained her ACCA membership since 1998. She has served on ACCA Council since 2009.

    John Cullen

    John is a partner at Menzies, where he heads up the corporate recovery and insolvency department in Cardiff. He works with SME businesses in South Wales and the South West of England.

    He became a licensed insolvency practitioner in 2001. He chaired the working groups that developed Statements of Insolvency Practice 2 and 3 and is working on 8, 10 and 12. He is also currently assisting the European Commission in the design of its new Insolvency regulations for 2017.

    Joseph is a director at Deloitte based in Melbourne, Australia.

    He was first elected to ACCA’s International Assembly in 2014.

    Joseph’s experience includes senior roles at PwC in Australia and Nigeria and at EY across West Africa.

    His specialisms include accounting change and events.

    Joyce Evans

    Joyce Evans is the director of revenue and deputy city treasurer for the city of Kitchener, Ontario. Trained in municipal treasury and accounting in England, her career has been largely focused in the public sector in both UK and Canada, along with some private sector experience in manufacturing and service industries.

    Joyce has worked with ACCA for over 20 years to advance the accounting profession. She obtained ACCA/FCCA membership in 2008 via a Mutual Recognition Agreement, and in the subsequent years as worked closely with ACCA members and students from many jurisdictions including the UK, the Caribbean, Surinam and Asia.

    Joyce is a chartered director (C. Dir) and a volunteer member of IFAC’s Professional Accountants in Business Committee.

    Liz is Reputational Risk Manager at the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) in Edinburgh, where her current remit involves developing policy, systems, governance and controls for the effective identification, assessment and mitigation of reputational risk across the Bank. Until recently Liz was in RBS Finance where she was involved in the first line review & challenge and support of Operational Risk, Risk and Control Assessments and Risk Culture activities across the RBS Finance community.

    Prior to joining RBS, Liz gained valuable controls, audit and accounting experience through her work at AEGON Asset Management (now Kames Capital), Standard Life Investments, PwC and EY.

    Liz has been a member of ACCA since 2000 and was elected to Council in November 2017. Prior to being elected to Council she was the chair of both the Financial Services Member Network Panel and the Edinburgh & East of Scotland equivalent. During this time, Liz took an enthusiastic and proactive involvement in developing member events programmes for both Networks, and was awarded ACCA UK Advocate of the Year 2016 in recognition of her 'contribution made to promote the profession and to actively inspire the accountants of tomorrow'. Liz is an ex officio member of the ACCA Scotland Committee.

    Lock is the Managing Partner in audit & assurance at Baker Tilly Malaysia.

    Since first joining ACCA in 2000, Lock has served on ACCA’s Public Practice Committee (including as chairman), Malaysia Advisory Committee (as Deputy President), International Assembly, and as the chairman of ACCA’s Global Forum for Audit and Assurance.

    Lock is a member of the Audit and Assurance Standards Board (AASB), and member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants, where he sits on the Capital Market Advisory Committee. Lock is also a member of the Industry Advisory Board of two colleges and Professional Standards Committee of Baker Tilly International.

    Lorraine Holleway

    After joining ACCA in 2001 and starting her career in finance with small manufacturing companies, Lorraine has spent most of her professional life in the oil and gas industry.

    She has worked in various roles for Shell and is currently finance controller and head of financial reporting in Qatar. Lorraine previously worked as a group reporting business analyst and finance learning manager for Shell in the Netherlands.

    Lorraine chairs our Global Forum for Corporate Reporting.

    She specialises in accounting policies, financial reporting and process improvement.

    When he was 18, Mark turned down a university place to join the NHS and study for the ACCA qualification. Since then, he's held a variety of finance roles in the NHS and has been chief executive of a number of different NHS and public bodies. Mark is currently chief executive at St Elizabeth Hospice, Ipswich and a non-executive director of Papworth Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

    He's long been involved with our UK Health Panel and served on our International Assembly for two terms.

    Marta Rejman

    Elected to Council: 2015

    Marta is the Head of Shared Services Centre for Publicis Groupe. She is responsible for Finance, HR, Legal and IT services provided to CEE, Baltic and Nordic regions.

    Marta has spent six years as the Director of the European Finance Centre, building the JLL Shared Services Operation for the EMEA region.

    Before that, she has held positions of CFO and Deputy Director Finance and Administration at ING Lease both in Poland and Germany.

    She served six years on the board of the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC) and was also a member of its Audit Committee and Finance and Planning Committee.

    Marta has a degree from Warsaw School of Economics and an MBA from the University of Calgary. She was a member of our first Poland committee in 2006, and has also been part of our International Assembly.

    Matt Dolphin

    Elected to Council: 2019

    Matt has over 20 years’ experience across a number of senior finance positions in FTSE companies in the transport sector including British Airways, FirstGroup, Go-Ahead and Babcock plc. He has managed performance delivery, financial reporting, business transformation projects, capital expenditure projects, stakeholder engagement and acted as a pension trustee.

    He is a mentor at Aston Business School for full time MBA students, and has supported ACCA in the UK and Canada as keynote speaker on topics including Accountants of the Future and Effective Whistleblower Policies. For this work he was named ACCA Advocate of Year.

  • Matthew Wong

    Matthew Wong

    Elected to Council: 2017

    Matthew has more than 30 years of extensive experience in the accounting profession in Hong Kong and mainland China. He is a partner at PwC and the leader of PwC China’s financial services tax practice. He is also a trusted tax adviser to many Fortune 500 financial service companies, international hedge funds and private equity houses making investments into Asia and particularly China.

    Matthew has served on the Steering Committee of ACCA Central China for more than a decade, since 2007. In 2016, he was elected as the Chairman of the Steering Committee and has represented ACCA Central China at the International Assembly.

    He frequently contributes technical articles for AB Magazine, and provides insights for ACCA’s local development and events via the ACCA Central China expert panel.

    Melanie Proffitt

    Elected to Council: 2015

    Melanie's experience spans several sectors, including healthcare, print and packaging, automotive, and heavy engineering. She now jointly runs Proffitt Consultants Ltd, a business that specialises in process improvement and change management. She previously worked as divisional financial director at Chesapeake Packaging and general manager within Spire Healthcare.

    Melanie has an MBA from Warwick Business School and a postgraduate diploma in sales and marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing. She's also a governor at South Leicestershire College.

    She's been part of our Leicestershire network panel since 2007 and was its president for three years.

  • Michelle Hourican

    Michelle Hourican

    Elected to Council: 2016

    Michelle Hourican first became involved with ACCA in her local student society, and has since served as president of the Members' Network in Dublin, on the ACCA Ireland Executive Committee, and led the working group that reviewed and updated the ACCA Ireland constitution and governance arrangements in 2012.

    Michelle currently lectures on a variety of subjects to business studies students. She did lecture for many years to international students on ACCA P3 and F9 papers. Prior to this, she trained in audit at Deloitte and worked in its management consultancy, managing financial and IT projects in the public and private sectors.

    In addition to ACCA qualification, Michelle holds a Masters in Science in the Management and Application of IT in Accounting from Dublin City University.

    She was awarded ACCA Accountant of the Year in 2015.

  • Mohd Nasir Ahmad

    Mohd Nasir Ahmad

    Elected to Council: 2013

    Nasir Ahmad's accounting career started at Malaysia’s national power company, Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) in 1979 where he held various accounting and finance roles before becoming CEO of Malaysia Transformer Manufacturing Sdn Bhd in 1994.

    He then joined SPK Berhad as CEO in 2000. From 2001 to his retirement in 2011, he was CEO of Perbadanan Usahawan Nasional Berhad, the national entrepreneur development corporation.

    He now sits as independent director on the boards of CIMB Group Holdings Berhad, CIMB Bank Berhad, Bina Darulaman Berhad, Media Prima Berhad, MIMOS Berhad, SIRIM Berhad and Prokhas Sdn Bhd. He is also a member of the Board of Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, the Listing Committee of Bursa Malaysia and the Board of Trustee of Yayasan Canselor UNITEN.

    Nasir Ahmad is a former president of both the ACCA Malaysia Advisory Committee and the Malaysian Institute of Accountants.

    Natalie Chan

    Elected to Council: 2019

    Natalie, from Hong Kong, has been a member of ACCA since 1998 and became a Fellow in 2003.

    Her professional interests are in providing audit and advisory services to financial institutions in Hong Kong (SAR) and China including listed financial institutions, securities and asset management companies and investment funds.

    Since 2011 she has been a partner at Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu and served as ACCA Hong Kong (SAR) chairman 2018-19.

    She is a member of Hong Kong Red Cross and enjoys jogging, hiking, yoga and movies.

    Orla is chief risk officer and head of risk and compliance for Standard Life's operations in Ireland. She's responsible for the company’s operational risk, compliance and anti-financial crime framework, as well as the Irish legal and company secretarial functions. Before joining Standard Life, she held a number of senior roles within the financial services industry including at Bank of Ireland and Pioneer Investments.

    Orla is a qualified financial advisor and a member of the Institute of Bankers and the Association of Compliance Officers of Ireland. She's part of our ACCA Ireland members' committee, and was its president from 2010-11.

    Paula is the CFO of Bulletproof Group Limited, an Australian public listed cloud services provider.

    Paula undertook her ACCA qualification as a school leaver, forgoing university for the chance to work, to earn and become financially independent at a young age.

    Now a FCCA, Paula has extensive experience in financial, operational and strategic management with previous roles including the chief financial & operations officer at Regus and the CFO & company secretary at Rubik Financial Limited.

    Paula has been the chairman and vice chairman of the ACCA Panel ANZ for the past four years, driving local member engagement and employer awareness through ownership, accountability and goal setting.

    Phoebe Hao Yu

    Phoebe Hao Yu is the Financial Controller for Shenzen Agricultural Products Limited. Prior to this role, she has worked for DeCoro (Shenzhen) Industrial Company Limited, Hubei Tianhua Shareholding Company Limited, IBM Technology Product Company Limited and Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Limited.

    Phoebe served as the chairperson of the ACCA South China Steering Team from 2011-2013, where she helped ACCA to establish a relationship with Chinese government agencies, and remains a member of the ACCA China Professional Expert Forum.

    She has also been a member of the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC) Compliance and Advisory Panel (CAP).

    Along with ACCA qualification, Phoebe also has a Master's Degree in Accountancy from the Chinese University of Hong Kong.

    Robert Stenhouse

    Robert is currently Director - National Accounting and Audit at Deloitte in the UK, with responsibilities for audit methodology and content. His UK role involves liaising with the UK’s standard setter and audit regulators.

    He is the UK member of the Audit Technical Advisory Board in Deloitte, which develops the audit policy and methodology that is applied within the Deloitte network globally.

    Robert’s career in accounting and audit spans over 25 years, beginning in a small practice. He became a member of ACCA in 2006 and joined ACCA's Council in 2009.

    Robert is currently chair of both ACCA’s Audit Committee and Audit & Assurance Global Forums.

Prior to moving into education, he was employed in professional practice, consultancy and a variety of industries including distribution, retailing and financial services. He's been a senior lecturer in Professional Accounting Practice at Ulster University since 2003.

    Ronnie has broad experience in curriculum and course design, developing and delivering courses and assessment. He's been an ACCA examiner and coordinator in the past and he is a past president of ACCA Ireland.

    Rosanna Choi is a founding partner of CW CPA, a public practice in Hong Kong.

    She's active in her community. In addition to being the Hon. Treasurer of the Council and Court of Hong Kong Baptist University, she - together with the other directors of Hong Kong Cyberport Management Company Limited - won the Directors of the Year Award from the Hong Kong Institute of Directors in 2013.

    Rosanna has been appointed by the Hong Kong Government as a member of its Business Facilitation Advisory Committee, and a member of the Board of Inland Revenue in last three years.

    She has served as the Chairperson of ACCA’s Global Forum for SMEs since 2013 and has been part of our Hong Kong committee since 2002 and was chairman for year 2010-11.

    Sharon is a non-executive director and consultant who spent eight years as a public practice accountant in the UK, followed by nearly 20 years as a shareholding director leading a rapidly expanding company in the financial services sector. She is currently the director of Newgrange Developments Limited.

    Sharon has served ACCA members in the Bristol and Cheltenham region for 10 years, including three years as the regional president. She was awarded the UK Member Contribution Award in 2012 and the UK Outstanding Contribution Award in 2013.

    In addition to ACCA qualification, Sharon is a Chartered member of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investments and a Chartered Financial Planner with the Chartered Insurance Institute.

    Siobhan is the director of continuous improvement at Mary Kay, a top skincare and cosmetics direct seller in nearly 40 markets worldwide. Prior to this, Siobhan worked with Shell Oil for 17 years, most recently as senior continuous improvement practitioner.

    Siobhan has extensive experience and a strong focus on the delivery of key business and finance focus areas such as operational excellence, customer service, finance, value growth and business assurance.

    Siobhan is a longstanding ACCA advocate, who went from completing her ACCA exams and experience with Shell Oil to later helping Shell gain their Globally Approved Employer status. She currently acts as the special task force lead for the ACCA US network and the chapter head for Dallas, and has previously been the chairman of the US Members’ Network and as a member of the International Assembly.

    Susan is finance director for Willerby Holiday Homes, a privately owned business in the UK of 70 years' standing. Before this, she was head of finance at DFS, where she led the commercial business partnering team and also helped float the company on the UK stock exchange.

    In 2010, she joined our Hull members' panel and from 2012-14, she was part of our International Assembly.
